That sounds like OCD to me. I research compulsively when something is bothering me, and have difficultly refocusing. OCD will make you look for evidence of the thing you are afraid of. I would just tell your health care provider about the racing thoughts and give the drug time to work.

I have also obsessed about my marriage and researched nonstop. With OCD, you want to feel like things are "right" and in order and over-analyze your feelings and reactions to things. You really have to learn to live with the uncertainty.
