It's hard telling your parents how you feel. I've had depression for quite some time but not too long ago, I got severely depressed. I couldn't eat or get off the couch/bed. She noticed and asked why I was sad. I couldn't tell her at first but 3 days later she asked again and I told her I felt really depressed and I needed help. I'm having my first visit with a therapist this Thursday.
If she doesn't notice how you're feeling then just say it. I know it's very very hard but I wish I would have done it before I got that bad. I've been in your position and now that I've been through that. I realize that it wasn't really that big of a deal. I mean, what are we afraid of? You know she loves you and cares for you. She'll be glad you told her, trust me.
