I'm sorry PianogirlPlays. I have to admit that I have an almost non-existent relationship with my mom. She didn't even know about my mental illnesses, abuse or rape until 8 years after my diagnosis. When I did tell her, her immediately response was why she was the last to know. Argh!!!

Your daughter may be dealing with some of her own issues. Have you thought about sending her a handwritten letter letting her know how much you love and care about her, and reassure her you are there for her?
