No baby should be left alone with a dog, not matter the breed. I've got a small 15 lb dog. I'm an adult, and a few times she's gotten a bit rough with playing, or missed a toy and got my hand and it hurts. She broke skin once without even meaning too. Just for the record, I'm fine with people eating horse meat as long as the animals are kept correctly.
