I've had sleep issues my whole life. I'm 16 (in a few weeks) and lately I've been sleepwalking and having nightmares. I am in a secure treatment facility where they lock you in your room at night, so when I sleepwalk I often knock on my door, a staff comes and I say something strange. I am half-aware that I am sleepwalking and often feel embarrassed once I realize that I'm sleepwalking and talking nonsense to the staff. Sometimes I'll look around for my hamster (thinking I'm at home and my hamster is missing) or I'll rip papers off my wall in my room. My nightmares are hynopompic, so they aren't while I'm sleeping it's while I'm waking up. I see ghosts or spiders when I wake up. I often wake up at 4 AM and can't fall asleep again.
I used to have night terrors and sleepwalking as a kid and now it's resurfacing. I can't understand why.
I've started taking different medications recently, maybe they have something to do with it?
In the morning I take:
Strattera 40mg
Risperidone .25mg.
At night I take:
Melatonin 5mg or 10mg .. i can't remember
Risperidone 1.5 mg
Trazodone 125mg
Can anyone help me figure this out? i'd greatly appreciate it
