It's not really natural for old people to be mean really. A lot of old people are nice.

Why couldn't you just get it next time you have a chance to see him instead of telling him that you'll never go to see him? Maybe he wants to hang out with you and is hurt that you are telling him you don't have time for him so he's lashing out at you a little because he's hurt.

That's weird that your gay friend is always trying to come on to you when he knows you're not gay... that's not acceptable behavior in my book. When you say "critical and gay" you make it sound like "gay" is a bad trait. It's not, but being a (gay) creep who is always hitting on people who tell him to back off certainly is.
