I'm just having one of those down days. Just feeling down and icky. Friday is my favorite AA night. I see sponsor, then do two meetings, then hang out with my friends. But I don't even feel like doing that, though I will.

Yet right in the midst of me sitting on my pity pot, a girl called me who I've been wondering about for a couple months. Her sponsor had a stroke and has been in the hospital, and ever since then, I haven't seen this girl. She called me and said that she used her sponsor's stroke and inability to sponsor her as an excuse to drink. She's been out for about 3 weeks, has been sober now two days, went to a meeting at noon today, and called and asked me to sponsor her.

I haven't had anyone to work with since my last sponsee feel off the face of the planet, so I'm glad this girl called today. She's working on her 1st step and we're meeting tomorrow. =) Nothing like 12th step work to make you feel better.
