Is it worth trying again by seeing another doctor at the clinic? If the place can act as your PCP I don't see what their problem is. If your insurance says they will pay, can you pay upfront and sort it out later with your insurance? It's definitely important to keep taking your med. Is there any other doctor you see regularly (eg gynae, pdoc) who could write the prescription for you?
