Personally, I think parents allow their children to run their lives too much. Your friend's daughter is old enough to know that she should not interrupt her mother. Your friend was involved in a conversation with you. Her daughter had nothihng that was so important to say that she could not wait.

I had a friend that did the very same thing. We would be involved in a conversation or doing something and the second one of her children walked in the room it was like I wasn't there. I could understand if they were infants but these were older children and it would not have hurt them to wait.

This type of attutude from the parent is one reason why the youth of today are so selfish and inconsiderate. They have never had to think about anyone but themselves and they don't know how to act among people. We are not doing our kids any favors. They are the ones that will suffer in the long run.
