I took 60 mg Remeron daily for almost two years. I thought it was great. At 15 mg it is supposed to have the sedating effect, but that never happened with me. I'm the odd one, I know. It's not until you get past 30 mg that it starts impacting your norepinephrine more so than serotonin. Plus it works great on your histamine levels.....not as many times that you get a stuffy nose! Lol. I found 60 mg to be perfect for me. I used to explain it like this: On one side of the bridge is suicidal thought, and on the other side of the bridge is suicidal action. Well, the Remeron broke off the centre portion of the bridge and I could not join the two together. I called it my anti-suicide drug!
Bad news: Massive weight gain. That is why I had to quit it after 2 years. It's a pretty well known fact that Remeron slows your metabolism down to a snail's pace. But other than that.....GREAT medication.
God bless,
Sandy
