I agree with gayleggg ... depression is physically exhausting, and I think that is so because when I'm depressed, I spend so much mental energy trying to find ways not to be depressed that I end up getting angry because I can't think my way out of this, then I get even more depressed, and so on...the visual image that I have in my head is that it is like punching myself in the stomach repeatedly...
