So here is some freegan info yes it's dumpster diving but you're talking all packaged stuff...markets toss a huge amount of stuff that's never been touched because it's slightly less than perfect. Ideally you want to find local freegans to help you get started but it's a sustainable lifestyle and good for the environment etc. If I could not afford food or travel to get food it's what I would personally do.
