Hi, you may already have gone out, if so I hope it goes well. Never been on a BMX bike, I have a hybrid, a mt bike, a road bike, a snow/sand "fat" bike, and an e-bike mt bike. I haven't had a single speed since I was a kid! Just take it slow and easy, stop and rest, you've already made plans to keep hydrated.
