Hello nottrustin. First of all I'd like to say that I am an abstaining alcoholic. I certainly DO fall off the waggon from time to time, especially when I become very depressed. I've thought hard about your situation and I guess the fact that you've written to us and asked our opnion means that you're not really happy about what you are doing. To save a lot of heart~ache later on I'd honestly suggest that you stop the ''5 or 6'' drinks and maybe cut drinking out during the working week. If that sounds harsh then could you maybe drink a couple of small glasses every other day? I'm not about to be a kill joy, far be me to do that. The other aspect is the risk of being caught DD (drink driving) as remember home mesurements are a lot larger than when in the pub etc. Personally I prefer to drink nothing rather than just have a few!! That's just me!! Yes, mention this to your therapist too please as I'm no therapist!!! Good Luck. XXXXXXXXXX
