I have an online friend I've been really close to for about 3 years. We've known each other for 5 years, but only really started getting close in the last 3. We have been really affectionate, and have exchanged many gifts, spent countless hours with each other, and watched movies online. To make a long story short, I had asked my friend to let me know if they were going to be gone for a while, and not to just vanish on me online. They promised they would, repeatedly. About 3 months ago, my friend vanished again, without a word. I was really hurt, and one night while I was drunk, I wound up deleting them on Steam (a social gaming network site). I immediately regretted it the next day, and sent another invite. My friend wound up coming back online about a week and a half ago, but she didn't accept my Steam invite. I saw her on Skype, tried to talk to her, and she wound up going offline on me. So it's been a week and a half, and still no contact. For a week, I was upset and left her a number of messages on Skype, but she hasn't responded to them. I haven't left any further messages for the past few days, but it's been like 9 days and I'm distraught. We've had petty arguments in the past, but we've always forgiven each other, and she's never given me the cold shoulder like this. What I don't understand is that if she wanted to sever contact with me, why hasn't she deleted me on Skype, Facebook, and deleted my invite on Steam? If she wants to sever ties then it would be so easy, and she hasn't.
