Yes sleep issues are very detrimental to people in various degrees of BP. Last year I was on a rotating schedule of 7PM to 7AM. I worked two days, had off two days. Then worked three days, off for two, then on for two, then off for three. It was complete hell. I'm still on that rotating schedule but now it's 3AM to 3PM which still isn't that great but at least I can go to bed at night instead of trying to sleep during the day.
