I know what that's like. It's common in bipolar people, especially during mood episodes. The senses are heightened to a point where things that don't normally register in our brains, become noxious and distressing to us. I can get extremely irritable if the TV sound is too loud, if there's a clothing tag rubbing against my neck (although I usually remove them for this reason), if my husband's model paints are open. When I'm not in an episode, none of this bothers me.
