The more stressed I am the more sensitive I am, particularly to noise and touch. When I was psychotic, people's voices felt like knives in my brain. When I am irritable I can't stand noise or to be touched and that comes with both ends of the spectrum. It's unfortunate bc I have a young son who doesn't understand so I really have to reel myself in at times so I don't upset him. It's not his fault mommy doesn't want a hug.
