The lyrics from Gillian Welch's Barroom Girls are a favourite of mine too. She just paints such a vivid, poignant picture with her words. I'm always moved by someone who can do such interesting things with language:

"Well the night came undone like a party dress
And fell at her feet in a beautiful mess."

I just love that!
