My family basically thought I was psychotic during perimenopause. Perhaps I was, because the only things I really remember from that time period was working and being exhausted all the time. They tell me the only consistent thing about me was my inconsistency and I screamed at them a lot. And I tend to believe them because they remember and I don't.
Having hot flashes and night sweats was hell until I got onto a combination of Paxil and Ativan (this was long before I was diagnosed BP). That way I slept through it all and was calmer. Thankfully it only lasted 5 years and was all over with by the time I was in my late 40s. Having BP and going through perimenopause is NOT fun. I wish you the best as you try to put things together.
