I hope you're feeling better....when you can do so, you should have a little talk with your bf about what his responsibilities are AS a bf when you are in need. He needs to understand this isn't a frivolous thing, and if your ex-H understand that, then he should as well.
I'm so glad you had a plan you could follow, but if your bf refuses to be, or can't be part of it, some adjustment should be made because your health is more important than his friends.
