I have this on my wrist. I got it done 2 years ago as I was coming out of a very dark place. I don't regret getting it done at all - it reminds me how difficult things were and therefore how far I have come, it also symbolises strength to me, so that when things are feeling difficult, I know they will pass.

I must say though, it has had an addictive quality for me and although I have not had another one, I am fairly sure I will start to "collect" them.
