Hello 2950, welcome to Psych Central.

I'm presuming you are all teenagers and I think she probably said that comment in an informal way and was trying to make you all feel comfortable with her. If you were all much younger it would be totally inappropriate. If anyone is upset about it then yes they should talk to another teacher about it, she might need a little word in her ear to let her know what is appropriate and what is not.
