Berrylotus, visual hallucinations are common in certain neurological problems. As other posters have said, please tell your primary doctor about your symptoms. It would probably be wise to ask for a referral to a neurologist before a psychiatrist. Hallucinations related to mental illness are more often auditory than visual, although visual can occur. Visual is quite common with some neurological disorders. What you're describing can be something quite simple or something complex. Only a doctor can tell you.
If a neurological exam and testing turn out normal, then ask your primary doctor for a referral to a psychiatrist. The symptoms you are describing seem to be getting worse, so this is becoming an urgent problem. None of us here can diagnose it for you. Please call your primary tomorrow (Monday) morning. If you're not signed up with a medical practice, do it as soon as possible. I'm not sure how the system in the U.K. works, you should be able to get expert help with this.
Take care.
