I hope this does not come out too rudely - but I think the question is pretty silly.

How would a piece of paper make you "happy"? And money is just a piece of paper that we CHOOSE to assign a 'value' to......

Some people have money and are miserable. Some people have no money and are miserable. I guess the grass is always greener....

But the question is like the old red herring statement:
Carrots kill people. George Washing ate carrots and he is dead. Abe Lincoln ate carrots and he is dead. JFK ate carrots and he is dead.

Do carrots kill? No more than money can make you happy. The two are irrelevant.
