WOW - ael14 - much wisdom and you are still young yet. I work with students and adults with these same struggles. Your post is very inspiring. Understanding who you are and learning how to handle yourself is so important. Do not let society define you (OK you have to play the game sometimes)...never let society suppress your genius.
Learning self-confidence is a big asset - and sometimes the hardest thing to turn around.
Neuroscience is working on better ways to help retrain the brain so it processes - more like normal.
If & when you have the time - continue to share your story not only here but with other groups or individuals - you will inspire others - they need to hear it!!!!!!!
