I don't normally ask, but most states legally allow you to see unless your medical professional believes it would be detrimental to your health. I was actaully thinking of asking my current T if I could see what she wrote just because I'm curious. I have found files generally contain factual information on the objective points of contact, with a few ambiguous talking points (at least the ones I have seen so far). It doesn't hurt to ask.
