Hello
I hav'nt posted here in awhile and don't quite know where to begin but I have had a metallic taste in my mouth (from metal fillings in two molars) for the past 3-4 months. I've had these fillings since I was a child and I'm 42 now so why are they just now causing me to experience this metal taste? (from the mercury in them leeching I assume). They also ache a bit and I should tell you all that I also chew nicotine gum (if that helps any) and that I have a deviated septum, chronic rhinitus and allergic sinusitis (to name only a few of my ailments/allergies). And oh yes, I also suffer from depression, panic disorder, anxiety, hypochondria, OCD (big time!), IBS, Tourette's Syndrome and more. I'm basically a 24/7 wreck but I try to scrape by each day and make the most of it.
Anyway, back to the tooth thing. About a week ago, I began having left-sided headaches along with a lot of pressure/spacy feeling in the eyes and forehead area. My eyes ached and I had these little prickly sensations every now and then on my scalp and the back of my neck. Nothing severe but I was scared enough to see my doctor who gave me an antibiotic in case I had a tooth infection. I'm not sure if this is all caused by my fillings, my sinusitis or a combinations of the two. My mind is also running wild with thoughts of rabies, mad cow disease and brain cancer so I've been really freaked out lately. What does it sound like to you folks and does anyone else here have, ever had or know someone who has had similar problems?.
My brain feels so "syrupy", "cloudy" and "zoned out" and it's like my brain has been injected with Novacaine or something. It's really frightening to me because I've taken a number of meds to make it go away but it is always there lurking below the surface and it gets worse as the day progresses for some reason. I checked the pollen count and it was very low but I do have a goat, a goose and some ducks. Still, they have never affected me before so I'm not sure what is going on here. My eyes feel bone-dry, then they get watery, then my nose runs andit always feels "caked up" in my sinuses and yet I don't EVER remember feeling this way. It's really weird and I am scared!!.
Thank you for listening and any advice/ideas would be greatly appreciated.
