Like you mentioned, one reason it hurts so bad is because he's with one of your ex-friends. That feels like a slap in the face. It would be better if he was with a stranger you'd never met.

Since you have a child with him, you will pretty much be in his life forever. I hope you are able to one day come to terms with the pain and find peace.
