I agree with the rest. Basic boundaries should be established at the beginning. And they should maintain a level of stability.

But things change: relationships, people, life... If a T decides to change the boundaries, T should bring it up before the client unknowingly pushes it. T should explain the change, and help the client process it.

Least that's what I would consider the appropriate thing to do.
