I had a very rare good dream, but I wonder what it could mean? I think I've been feeling much more stable in my life all around, so that could be. It's a pretty long story.

I usually barely ever have dreams about myself. This time wasn't different, and was about a young adolescent boy who got lost from a town. I watched him in third person. The feeling of the dream seemed like it would be just another bad dream. I can't quite remember, but I think the reason he got lost in the first place was for bad reasons, such as running away from danger, and the dream was shaping up to be another horror plot. The place the dream took had modern things like cell phones and computers. So this boy gets lost in this nearby ancient-looking forest, and finds some stunning, Victorian-like mansions alongside and up a hill, hidden by giant trees. Ones I could never come up with in real life. They were very stylized and many stories high, with large, smooth overhangs. He meets an old man outside one peach-colored mansion. He had long black hair and was sort of grumpy and unsociable. The boy then meets the old man's wife who was very beautiful but also very old and kind. A pretty girl maybe a little older than the boy also lived there who he eventually developed a crush on. They lived in one of the mansions and had neighbors who were pretty friendly. I think the girl lived in a different mansion, but came over a lot. I should mention that although the area they lived in was lit up, the whole dream took place at night.

As time went on, the boy stayed at the old people's home. In the dream there was some online computer program that was very special. All I knew was that it was something everyone got involved in, like facebook or an online game. The old man had a disk which somehow made him a famous administrator or ruler of this online program. However, he seemed uninvolved and ignorant of how he got this thing. At some point the boy contacted a friend of his through some camera chat thing on his phone, who was a sort of chubby, average boy, who told him how amazing it was the old man had that disk. I think there was other plots going on too, like how the boy eventually had to leave to get to school and things like that. Eventually, at the end of the story, the old man reveals that he was a creator of the program and soon passes away. The boy had gotten so attached to him that he's more upset about the man dying than being the receiver of the program. The boy was allowed to continue living there with the old woman and he decides to become the next great owner of the program, and hopes to become like the old man. With the girl hanging out with him more and with the mansion in the middle of the forest, I felt that he felt he was well on his way and the dream ended soon after.

The whole story was heartwarming, and strange. I wonder why I had this dream? Most of my dreams these days are about disasters in strange landscapes.
