Very cool. I used to ride a peddle-bike a lot, since I don't drive, but not that I don't go out that far, and I like to walk, I just got rid of it, and stick to walking. I do definitely bike, though! ...but on an exercise bike.
My personal best is around 16 miles at 8/8 (hardest difficulty setting) which, if I remember correctly, took over an hour and my bum was insanely sore afterwards. xD I was fitter, back then, not as muscular, but I was skinnier, if that made a difference. My recent best is 12.4 miles, I believe, also on 8/8.
I tend to ride at 4/8, now, for a better cardio experience. My legs get a good workout with Friday's programme, and with all the walking and my volunteer job, so I don't see the point in overdoing it; I need the strength in my legs for lifting weights and stuff, after all.
I love biking, though. I do miss biking outside 'n that, but I can't be bothered with the maintenance of a bike; they drive me freaking crazy! xD
By the way, I get the thing with struggling outside, ... I miss biking because I actually find it better than walking (if I feel decent about how I look, that is) since I will just zip past people, but there's still anxiety involved, particularly around roads/cars.
