I wish you didn't have to read horror-stories. Every person has their own reaction to a med. what works great for one person my be a disaster for another person. My daughter was put on Abilify and it was horrible... What it did to her. Then she was put on geodon and it was a miracle med. later, it lost its effectiveness and she was put on latuda. Another disaster. But saphris hit that sweet spot and she's done fabulous on it for two years now. But other people would tell you horror-stories about what worked for my daughter.

Point is, Newtus, go into the topomax hoping it works great. It very we'll may be perfect for you. But if it does cause you problems, you'll find out soon enough and they can try something else. Someone else's bad experience has nothing to do with you... Other than making you feel unnecessarily fearful.
