I agree with @Travelinglady .

Definitely, stress can make things hurt. Just like anxiety, the body is receptive to our feelings and stress for sure can make our muscles tired, ache-y, and just plain painful. I've found that usually when I can recognize a pain or ache as stress, I can focus on techniques (usually DBT) to help calm me and if it doesn't go away completely, it will help.

I've had back problems for six years now and while it is from an injury, stress and anxiety can contribute to times it is out of control or just horrible.

Hope this helped a bit, and I hope that your pain gets better (and also less stress!).
