Sundance, I may be reading what happened to me into your comment about the wrist pain concurrent with depression, but you might want to see a rheumatollogist.

For years and years, I felt as if my body was falling apart. Aches in knees, especially my neck and shoulders. Then very bad headaches. Unable to go outside in the heat (I lwas living in Florida). I don't mean being hot as everyone is -- I mean collapsing. I was a swimmer, and my shoulder was diagnosed as a strained rotator cuff and I had to stop.

Then I started losing weight without changing my diet -- in the middle of menopause, when most women gain weight.

Physicians blew me off -- just another crankly middle-aged woman.

Finally I got a good physician -- test after test, and now I have a diagnosiks of lupus. It causes both these so called "ohantom aches" and depression.

IIt cam be difficult to diagnose because its is a grabbag of symptoms that show up differently in different people, but it's better to know I have this one thing wrong with me than to feel that I'm falling apart for no apparent reason.

Anyway, it's just a thought.
