So we have a mix....a lot of people in the downtown are really sick either mentally or are vets etc and so physically disabled. My sister got a free sandwich due to a mistake once and she tried to give it to a guy who said she was just trying to poison him...that guy I suspect sz. Then we have a number of guys in the burbs who probably have homes but don't work....they tend to have the really elaborate stories ....I'm trying to get a job but I need $12 for an ID see my license is broken in half etc. Some people go to the same spot and walk traffic every day with a sign. Yeah it's all really sad.
I was on the train one day an a teacher was telling the class how he would keep granola bars in his pockets to give to homeless guys....which is kind of perfect...they are sealed and nutritional and last a long time and you know they aren't buying alcohol or drugs...
