Folks, I'm sorry I'm going to have to disagree here.

Threads are threads, but as they grow and mature, they can take on different meanings, and go in different directions. In fact, some very large threads have very rich, interesing tangetial sub-threads (often with their own unique subject lines).

There will be no community ban on changing subject lines, but you can certainly respect the author's wishes (especially here, in the creative forum) and not do it if you're only commenting on someone's work.
