My daughter's boss feeds the lady sometimes too when she'll accept it. My daughter offered her an ice water on a day when it was super hot outside and the lady refused it and left immediately. We think she thought that my daughter was going to harm her with the iced water. So we know just to give her money and let her make her own purchase.

While I have given people food I tend to forget to carry it....here people are typically looking for formula, gas, a bus pass whatever...one lady though told me she was diabetic and needed $2 to get something from mcD's which we were right outside of....I didn't even hesitate in her case....but it's much more rare for them to ask for food they really want the cash...I imagine most of these are scams which is why I watch for repeat customers. I think many of the truly homeless are in areas I don't go to due to safety etc because they are less likely to be harassed there.
