My boyfriend and I both have ADHD. He has really gotten me into video games. Our favourite right now is Borderlands 2 - and we're so excited for the Prequel when they're on the moon! We were really addicted to Minecraft over the Christmas break, but I think because we played it so much that we just got oversaturated with it and now we play it occasionally, but definitely not for many hours at a time because it gets boring fast. But I do really like it.

But our video game addiction is more that it's a couple's activity that we can do with each other - it's cost effective (we don't need to spend money going out to the movies or whatever or dinners out all the time - we just need to spend like $50 at one time, and get hours and days of enjoyment out of a game) and it's soothing for us both. We both get in the zone.. and it's just fun!

The thing is, my boyfriend used to only play video games in his basement. He's surprisingly very well-adjusted socially if he played as much video games as he said that he played.

I mostly only like playing video games with him rather than on my own. When I'm by myself, I'm TV addict. But lately I've noticed that I get a lot more restless and can't sit still. I guess I'm going to have to find another activity that's soothing for hours at a time. Probably something outside like gardening. I love the sun.

Oh also, I can't be that much of a video game addict because I get this weird motion sickness when I play too long (sometimes only a half an hour) - the worst is for Timesplitters (even though it's so freaking fun!) and Call of Duty. Somehow the animation in Borderlands doesn't make me that sick at all. Or only sick after a couple of hours.
