I was in the Rader Institute about 11 years ago for over 1 month. I have to admit. I wasn't helped by it at all & didn't like environment. It was just like being in a psych hospital so that didn't help with recovery either. Unfortunately, my insurance wouldn't cover anorexia treatment & according to my pdoc it was critical that I had to be hospitalized. The treatment center was at Washington Memorial in Los Angeles & they had money set up for people who needed treatment & couldn't afford it, so I was stuck going there.
I think that the residential treatment centers are a much better environment to get treatment in even though they cost a lot more.
The internet has information on all the "anorexia treatment centers".....just google on that & you can do your research. Hope you find a good place that fits your needs. I was terrible unhappy with the treatment I had but then again, I didn't fit the typical anorexia "body image" issues they were trying to force me into......I had other issues that were going on.
I wish you good luck in finding help. True anorexia issues aren't something that you can treat without help.
