My son went out on a temp job recently. He worked 5 hours in the concession stand for an event sponsored by an insurance company. By the end people were saying he looked tired, maybe he needed to eat something. In fact someone insisted he take a plate of food which really annoyed him, because he'd already been 'forced' to eat a plate of food. (My son has this thing where if you offer him food, he feels like he has to say 'yes' and he has to eat it. The words 'no, thank you' apparently aren't in his vocabulary.

) He doesn't really eat that much.
So, then they let him go 15 minutes early, and as he was leaving, they said, "You don't have to hurry off," which really confused him. Then they tried to make him go to the medical tent to be checked out. He started to go, but he knew he was fine, so finally he told them he was leaving and just left.
I'd love to know what he was doing that had them so concerned. Sometimes he's very odd in the way he interacts with people, very stiff, and he doesn't seem to be aware of it. And if he wasn't smiling and looking tired, they may have thought he was overheating in the concession stand.
He has a job interview for a peer support position in a couple of weeks. Everyone send good thoughts his way. I think he'd be a great peer support person. He just needs to make a good impression at the interview.
