Okay, I went on Risperidone when I was 15 and was on it for a year. I didn't lactate but I did experience some slight growth in "that area" when I was generally a fit and healthy person. Luckily for me, this seemed to subside once I stopped taking the medication. From what I know, this is a less common side effect.

The next issue with Risperidone is the weight gain. At the end of the year taking it, I had gained over a stone. I also felt drowsy ALL the time and I mean literally constantly fatigued.

Quetiapine (Seroquel) I have found to be a lot kinder to my body and mind. I didn't experience much weight gain (I gained weight but that was because I started eating a lot more and generally exercised less). Even though I still felt slightly drowsy through the day, it had NOTHING on Risperidone.

I found both to be about as good at reducing psychotic symptoms and the Quetiapine did a pretty decent job at regulating my moods, also.
