It could be both, either or neither.
One of the cruelly ironic things about being on antidepressant medications is they can contribute to the kind of mental and volitional fogginess that can make it difficult for a person to be consistent in taking the meds.
Do you have people (family?) around you to help you take the meds as prescribed? Please consider calling your prescribing doctor's office and tell them what is happening and what you are experiencing.

mastered the "fetch" command. He would communicate he wanted something, and I would fetch it.
