I am having constant pain from the mirena since I got it inserted about 5 months ago. The cervix pain subsided after 10 days but the pain in my uterus has been constant and the same for 5 months. I was told to expect pain but I didnt expect it to be constant. I have barely had the heat pack off for the entire time I have had it in.

I still have 2/3 months to go to see the full benefits so I wont get it removed yet but Im wondering does the pain go away after the initial 6 - 8 months? Or will it be the same?

I am not due to see the gyno for another month or so, since the appointments are so expensive I am not going to go in earlier than planned but the pain is starting to become unbearable.

If I need to get it removed I need to put plans in place for the PMDD. So far I have had very few benefits from the Mirena but a lot of problems (threw me into a mixed episode that had me hospitalised twice). I was told it would settle but its so hard to wait. Since I got it I have lost my best friend and boyfriend, I doubt that would have happened without the mixed episode. I am starting to get fed up.
