I would ask so you know one way or another and can then decide what you want to do. Did someone get the job there for you, recommend you? How did you get that job in the first place. I would go back and talk to whoever you learned of that job from, see if they can help you find another like it where the people might be kinder or the job not need someone to move/be as fast as they were wanting on this job.
