I do not know about the 401K thing, the taxes, paperwork, laws, etc. are the pits with withdrawing that, if it is possible. I used my 401K to pay for my braces (teeth) when I was 29/30.
I would make a plan: what your skills and background are, what you might like, how you would like to get there, etc. and look a little further than just getting "away" from where you are. Going forward toward something of your choosing is more exciting and lets you ignore the people around you now because you have a "secret", what you are working on for you and it does not include them!

Use some time to go to your public library, they have lots of local job information, school/college/training information, government information, etc. Just looking forward will help against the whispers of management at this job.
