Ok, so I had an issue with getting vacation time with my family due to me working at a university in the kitchen and my families schedules.

About a month ago I had turned in a paper about having a week off in September but I found out it was red zone due to there being so many college students during that time. So I had to figure out when to ask for vacation off. I had asked around about when it is rather busy because during the summer it's best for us to ask off(no students). My family on the other hand has trouble getting vacation time in the summer.

So yesterday I turned in a paper asking for the end of October off because one of the managers had told me just to turn it in even though at the beginning of the month it is crazy. The other scheduling manager keeps telling that they normally don't allow time off during students class time.

So it is a question mark if I will get that off. I keep forgetting to tell her this would be the only time I would ask for vacation time during the fall with my family. It's a rare occasion that most of my family goes, and plus it's Florida with these to friends that we hardly ever see. I have not seen them for about 4 years now. I feel like I need to tell her later about that so she knows that I mean it. Though I don't want to come off forceful I just want to spend time with my family and friends.
