Thanks for your replies. However, I have to say I don't think the trigger warning was adequate here. Suicide is a serious issue. The thread title has no indication or warning about the fact that it talks, in some detail, about feeling suicidal. Surely the title should say that it mentions talk about suicidal ideation?

A trigger warning is a sign that it could feature all kinds of things: talk of SI or abuse or all sorts. It's also not amazingly clear on an iPhone. It's not enough to help people make an informed decision. People talking about their desire to commit sui - even if they are talking about resisting that desire - is something that is just not safe for me to read. How are we supposed to take responsibility for ourselves if we are not given the info we need to do so?

Also the trigger icon comes up at the start of the thread but I clicked through from unread posts to a later page that had a heart icon.

I just thought someone should warn that it's about suicide so people can decide whether that's safe to read.
