And most of the men there are in their 70's or 80's and are behaving that way! And they think it's okay to act that way, because they've been sober for 30 years or so.

Oh yes, I'm familiar with the old timers who are at the top of the hierarchy where it is blasphemy to question motives. I know so many couples in AA straight, gay, sponsor/sponsee, married, divorced, disgruntled or helping each other work their program. The first time I went I was pretty young. Men followed me out to my car, and a disgusting pervert my Dad's age bought me tickets to the ballet then blew up on me when I said no. It's a regular meat market and a way of life.
