No Job and never had one. Well, back when I first left school I had a couple of short-lived, crap jobs that I hated. Funny thing is, I'm actually quite competent, but no one ever gives me the chance. I was signed on the dole a few years back and I had to keep a record of my job search in order to get benefits. Over the course of a year I applied for over 400 jobs and not a single one wrote me back. Some of those were out of my league, some weren't. Some I put effort into, some I didn't. It really didn't matter. I was working towards a BSc as well back then (what a waste of time and effort).
Anyway, that's when I became disenfranchised from the whole notion of employment and set myself up as an artist, making bits and pieces of money on the side. I've made more money doing that then I have from employment over the entire span of my life.
In the meantime, to avoid boredom and isolationist, I do a lot of volunteer work, working with social enterprise groups, teaching sculpture, a bit of ecological work, helping to set up art exhibits, renovating buildings and stuff like that.
